FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should i order my wedding stationery?

Save The Dates & Wedding Invitations
I recommend booking your stationery around 4-6 weeks before you want to send out your save the dates or invitations. Make this 6-8 weeks if you want a Bespoke Design. This gives me enough time to design, print and post your stationery to you.

On The Day
This should be ordered about 6 weeks before your wedding day. Final drafts can be signing off around 4 weeks before your big day, so any last minute changes to seating plans etc can be accounted for. But make sure you have it delivered and with you about 3-4 weeks before your wedding. As always the sooner you book it the better to account for any delays or problems that might unexpectedly occur, leaving anything last minute is ever a good idea!

Just remember, as soon as you’re booked into my design diary and a deposit is paid, your slot is secured! I only take on so many projects per month, so slots can get booked up quickly, especially in peak wedding season. You can always book your slot well in advance, even if you haven’t got all the details finalised.

When should i order my wedding stationery?

With both save the dates and invitations it’s always best to let your guests know sooner rather than later. This way everyone has plenty of time to save money, book hotels and childcare (if necessary) and secure time off work.

Save The Dates
Once you have your date secured at your venue you can look at getting your save the dates designed. They can be sent any time from 2 years to 12 months before your big day deepening on where your wedding is. If its taking place abroad I recommend sending them about 2 years to 18 months before the big day.

Invitations
Invitation should be sent out around 4-6 months before your wedding day, if you haven’t sent out save the dates think about doing them much earlier than this though.

How many invitations do i need?

You only need to send 1 invitation per household, couple or individual. I always recommend ordering around 5-10 additional cards to allow things such as misscaluations, guest list changes, some getting lost in the post and so you have some as keepsakes. Ordering small amounts if you are just a few short can be extremely costly.

Can you tell me about Foiling?

Foiling is a beautiful way of elevating your wedding stationery to the next level of luxury. Be aware though, foiling isn’t cheap and will increase the cost of your order fairly significantly.

I have a small budget, so can I still get good quality stationery?

Most definetly! I’m happy to try and give you the wedding stationery of your dreams, while keeping to your budget. The best way to do this is by selecting one of my existing designs or keeping the design simple. The prices are all broken down, so you can see exactly how much everything will cost you upfront, so there are no surprises!

A great way to save money is to choose a Concertina Wedding Invite which is a folded leaflet style invitation with 6 or 8 sides and including a perforated RSVP which guests fill out and send back. This RSVP can be inserted into a plain or pre-printed envelope or to save further costs on envelopes, we could add a return address and stamp outline to the back of the rsvp page so the guest can simply affix a stamp and post.

All my Wedding Stationery sets use a pick n mix method, so you can choose just the pieces you need and include all the add-ons and extras you like to fit within your budget, including digital foiling, wax seals, stickers and much more. So whatever your budget, we can find something to suit you!

Can i see a mock up of the design before i place an order?

With every order you get up to 3 PDF mockups so you can see your designed wedding stationery and make any required changes before everything is signed off to be printed.

I’m afraid I cannot provide these any proofs before an order is placed or a deposit is paid.

Can i have a printed proof of my stationery to check texture and quality?

Sure! Printed proofs can be sent to you after the design is agreed and before printing, as long as an order has been made or a deposit has been paid.

Standard print proofs are £15 each and digitally foiled proofs are £25 each for inserts. A folder style cover with a pocket would also be £25 each.
